Aotearoa’s Asian Community: Demographic Shifts, Intersectionality and Mental Health

Invited keynote presentation (Roshini Peiris-John) at ‘Flourishing Futures’, the inaugural Asian Mental Health and Wellbeing Summit hosted by Asian Family Services on 14 August 2024. Over 150 leaders from across New Zealand’s health sector, government attended. The Summit led to the creation of a briefing paper ‘Aligning Asian Mental Health and Wellbeing Summit Findings with Ministerial Targets.

Plenary presentation on Lived experiences of ethnic minority youth in Aotearoa New Zealand, in conjunction with presentation from Dr Claire Achmad, Chief Children’s Commissioner at Centre for Asian and Ethnic Minority Health Research and Evaluation (CAHRE) Symposium 2024, Auckland, New Zealand on 14 September 2024.
